FIL-BRITISH football player Phil Younghusband formally announced Monday on Instagram that he was retiring from playing.
Phil was known as the top scorer for the Azkals, the Philippine National Football Team, whom he played with for more than a decade along with his older brother James. Phil’s last tournament with the team was the Asian Cup held in Korea early this year.
The 32-year-old athlete who have gotten married earlier this year also hinted at a new venture in his post.
“Hanging up my boots! Thank you to my bosses, my coaches, team mates, competitors and all the supporters who have been part of my journey. See you all soon in a new adventure.”(Push)
