ROXAS City – The Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) is offering a “detoxification package” for drug dependents.
Former vice mayor Ronnie Dadivas, a member of PhilHealth’s Board of Directors, said the package is worth P10,000.
Self-confessed drug users and/or pushers who surrendered to the police as part of Oplan Double Barrel and at the same time PhilHealth members may avail themselves of the package in state-run or private hospitals, said Dadivas.
The package includes a laboratory test, clinical procedures, psychiatric help, and medicines that would help remove the drug toxin from the dependent’s blood.
A total of 5,728 alleged users/pushers in Capiz surrendered two months since Oplan Double Barrel, an intensified antidrug campaign, was launched on July 1, the Capiz Police Provincial Office said. (Capiz Aksyon News Center, PNA/PN)
