ILOILO City – The second floor of city hall and the Office of the Local Civil Registrar are off limits to the public today. These would be disinfected.
Three city government employees – one from the City Health Office (CHO), one from the City Assessor’s Office (CAO) and one from the civil registry office – tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The CHO and CAO are on the second floor of city hall. The Local Civil Registrar is on the fifth floor.
According to city hall’s COVID-19 Team spokesman Jeck Conlu, employees with offices on the second floor and those of the civil registry have been advised not to report for work today.
City hall’s second floor also houses the city library, among others.
Regular office hours at the said offices will resume on Aug. 18.
Other offices at city hall will close at 4 p.m. today for total disinfection of the building.
Meanwhile, Mayor Jerry Treñas announced that the Iloilo Doctor’s Hospital informed him one Pediatric resident and one OB-Gyne resident tested positive for COVID-19.
The hospital will temporarily stop accepting patients to its Pediatric and OB-Gyne departments as a precautionary measure.
