ILOILO City – A total of 194 wanted persons were arrested across Western Visayas during a 30-day manhunt operation.
Data from the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) showed that among those collared from November 1 to 30 were one national fugitive and all top 10 most wanted persons in the region.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO), meanwhile, recorded the highest number of arrests with 100, followed by the Capiz PPO with 27, and the Iloilo City Police Office with 24.
PRO-6 director Brigadier General Josefino Ligan commended the relentless efforts of all units involved and underscored the importance of community collaboration.
He also expressed gratitude to the public, noting that community information was instrumental in achieving these successful operations.
“We will continue to run after those who have pending cases in court and place them behind bars,” he added.
All individuals apprehended have been turned over to their respective courts for proper legal proceedings./PN
