GUIMARAS – The Philippine Statistics Authority-Guimaras Provincial Statistical Office (PSA-Guimaras) continues to expand its grassroots outreach efforts through simultaneous National ID services and Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) validation activities in communities across the province.
The agency has been conducting National ID registration, demographic information updating and correction, and ID issuance services alongside the 2026 CBMS Re-assessment and Validation, which officially began on April 14.
Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare said the CBMS validation focuses on updating and verifying household information, particularly among beneficiaries of government social protection programs such as the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
“The activity aims to update and validate household information to support government planning, targeting, and implementation of programs and services,” Losare said.
As CBMS operations rolled out in April, PSA-Guimaras simultaneously intensified National ID services through field deployments and community-based activities to ensure residents throughout the province could access registration, demographic information updating, correction, and ID issuance services.
As of May 21, CBMS teams had completed re-assessment and validation activities in 43 barangays province-wide. National ID teams also continued serving residents who had yet to register or needed corrections and updates to their demographic records.
Among the communities reached were Barangay Balcon Melliza in Jordan on April 14, Barangay Navalas in Buenavista on April 15, and Barangay San Miguel in Jordan on April 23, where residents availed themselves of both CBMS-related and National ID services.
To further widen service delivery, PSA-Guimaras participated in Family Development Sessions attended by 4Ps beneficiaries, bringing National ID registration, updating, correction, and issuance services directly to participants.
The agency likewise joined a co-location activity organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Nueva Valencia on May 20 and 21.
“The activity provided an avenue for the simultaneous delivery of government services, including National ID registration, demographic information updating and correction services, issuance activities, and CBMS-related activities,” Losare said.
Records from PSA-Guimaras showed that from April 1 to 30, a total of 878 successful National ID transactions were completed during field operations. Of this number, 216 involved children aged zero to four years under the National ID registration initiative for children.
During the same period, the agency also facilitated the issuance of 888 National IDs in barangays throughout the province.
PSA-Guimaras said it has expanded its mobile National ID operations beyond registration by providing demographic information updating, correction, and issuance services in various communities.
The activities were carried out in coordination with barangay officials and partner agencies to bring frontline government services closer to residents and improve access to National ID-related services across Guimaras.
