ILOILO City – At the public market in Barangay Desamparados, Jaro district, a suspected drug dealer was arrested yesterday.
Romeo “Abing” Obapial was a member of a subgroup of the Prevendido drug group, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6 claimed.
Obapial yielded a plastic pack of suspected shabu weighing more or less 3 grams and valued at an estimated P15,000, a spot report from the PDEA Region 6 stated.
The item was included in a plastic bag containing a kilo of fish, according to Regional Director Wardley Getalla.
PDEA agents swooped down on the 67-year-old suspect at around 9 a.m. after a two-day surveillance, Getalla said.
