ILOILO City – Five plastic packs of shabu were seized from a resident of Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao district.
The 40-year-old Jefferson Jopson was arrested during a buy-bust operation in their village on Thursday.
The five shabu packs were placed inside a cigarette pack, a police report stated.
These were on top of one sachet of the same substance Jopson sold to undercover officers for P500 at 11:20 a.m., the report added.
Chief Inspector Engerbert Banquillo, Mandurriao police chief, tagged Jopson as a “newly identified” drug-pushing suspect in the district.
Detained at the Mandurriao police station, Jopson was charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
