ILOILO City – Four residents of Barangay Jereos, La Paz district were arrested yesterday for playing the card game pusoy.
Police caught the following at around 10:40 a.m. in the same village:
* Delmar Sotelo, 23
* Rose Mahinal, 44
* Hindly Amaba, 34
* Jessie Espejo Sr., 65
They were facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, the law that prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling, a police report showed.
The illegal gambling suspects were detained at the La Paz police station custodial facility./PN
