This is just one of the many text messages that radio broadcaster Roger Ledesma received.
Ledesma – who works as a radio host in the Balita Kag Isyu radio program aired over 104.7 FM Muews Radio Talisay City, Negros Occidental – said the messages were from the cellphone number 09500792752.
According to Ledesma, he started receiving the threats on Oct. 30 around 6:45 a.m. while he was hosting his daily radio program.
“Tandaan mo ma tiyempohan ka gid, indi kana mag dugay Mr. Ledesma” and “Daw ginatawag ka na ni kamatayon” were some of the messages from the number, Ledesma shared.
Ledesma said the texts were probably sent to stop him from discussing issues against a local politician in Talisay City, who he refused to name.
“They can threaten me but I will not be cowed nor be afraid,” Ledesma told Panay News.
This paper tried to contact the number but it was “out of coverage.”
Meanwhile, 104.7 FM production manager Bambi Yngson condemned the person/s behind the text messages.
Yngson, also a radio program host, said he stands with Ledesma and other program hosts of the station challenging those behind the texts to reveal themselves./PN
