“A man who loves need not be told twice, for if he really does love, you need not even demand.”
THEY SAY we should not count the years in our life but the life we lived fully in our years.
Looking back, I realize certain things became my priority but family took a backseat.
To some, family is the utmost priority. However, some people, despite being married and having children, still live a life of a bachelor or a bachelorette.
According to a theory, men regress by two years their age after marriage and having children while women mature by 10 from their actual age after marriage and having children. That is why they say women should marry older men; this way, they could meet halfway.
There is no proof as to this theory but as you may witness in some marriages, husbands buy trivial things or go into trivial hobbies even if they already have children. This, for some wives, is an act of immaturity – to a certain degree perhaps and the husband would just soon outgrow this.
There are those who buy expensive cars or motorbikes for kicks or collect miniature toys or take lavish and luxurious travels.
Some enjoy the club scene or go on drinking sprees till the wee hours of the morning, or would travel with friends out of town or would engage in expensive sports or extreme hobbies, conveniently forgetting they are married and have children.
If the husband does not outgrow these hobbies or actions, this could be considered as evident manifestation of psychological incapacity under the Family Code.
The inability of the husband to fulfill his marital and paternal obligation is a ground for annulment under Article 35 if such is proven to have existed even prior the marriage.
Sometimes we, men, just need a little push, and if we love you enough we would realize and eventually understand the need to man up.
Men just need to be made aware because sometimes they have the tendency to forget and be responsible.
Women must understand that the more you pressure a man the more he resists. Speak in a way that makes us understand and we will certainly get the gist./PN
