BACOLOD City – He had been hiding from the police for about five years.
The 27-year-old resident Rovic Aquino was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant for three counts of rape around 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, a police report showed.
The Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental issued the warrant against him on Dec. 12, 2014.
Aquino was arrested in Barangay Linao, Kabankalan City, the report added.
He was detained in the lockup facility of the Kabankalan City police station.
The court recommended no bail bond for Aquino’s temporary liberty./PN
