BY GEROME DALIPE IV

ILOILO City – Over 2,000 regular employees of the Iloilo City Hall will receive a P30,000 cash incentive under the collective negotiation agreement (CNA) with the city government.

Mayor Jerry Treñas, speaking via Zoom yesterday, announced the release of the incentives, citing the city’s savings this year.

“This reflects our commitment to fostering a workplace culture that values efficiency, accountability, and the dedication of our employees,” Treñas said.

He attributed the allocation to efficient resource management, particularly in reducing electricity costs.

The CNA incentive, provided annually as mandated by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) guidelines, is a well-deserved benefit for regular employees.

Distribution of the cash incentive is scheduled between December 15 and December 31.

Treñas also said the cash incentive is a recognition of the invaluable contributions of Iloilo City Hall employees.

“This is a reflection not just of prudent financial management but of our collective commitment to supporting and recognizing the invaluable contributions of our employees. By prioritizing their welfare, we continue to build an environment that motivates and inspires excellence in public service,” said Treñas.

The mayor expressed his gratitude to the employees, acknowledging their dedication and hard work for the people of Iloilo City.

“To all our employees, your dedication and hard work for the people of Iloilo City do not go unnoticed. Sa aton nga pag-ululupod kag pag-isa, we will continue to uphold the highest standards of public service and strive para sa mas mainUSWAGon nga Siyudad sang Iloilo,” he said.

The mayor noted the CNA incentive reflects the city government’s ongoing commitment to fostering an efficient and employee-centered workplace culture while driving progress for Iloilo City./PN
