ILOILO City – The Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) of the city government reminded businessmen to renew their business permits early.
BPLO will start accepting applications for the renewal of business permits on Jan. 3, 2017, said Norman Tabud, office chief.
The first day of business permits renewal was originally set on Jan. 2, 2017 but Malacañang declared it a holiday to give people enough time to return to their work from the New Year celebrations.
Tabud said the early renewal of permits will avert overcrowding and long queues at the BPLO.
“Biskan ano pa kanami sang sistema, akomodasyon, ka-efficient ang system kag programa, indi gid ka-function maayo kun mag ginutok,” he explained.
The BPLO office expects over 13,000 business permit renewals in 2017.
The renewal process takes only about half an hour, said Tabud.
The BPLO is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. There is no noon break.
The BPLO is located at the ground floor of the Iloilo City Hall.
Late renewals will have penalty charges, said Tabud./PN
