Restaurant blast hurts 3

ILOILO City – Three people were wounded when an LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) tank exploded inside a restaurant in Barangay Rizal, City Proper.

One of them was a crew member of the establishment, 22-year-old Janine Janeo of Barangay Gustilo, La Paz district.

The blast at Nick’s Dream Food Haus at around 7 a.m. on Friday shattered a crystal wall, a police report stated.

Shards of crystal struck Janeo, causing lacerations on her body.

The food crew member was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao.

Two other people who were passing by the area at the time of the blast sustained minor injuries – Blessy Salgado, Grade 8, and Nelson Peñol Jr., Grade 7.

Police identified them as students of the University of Iloilo./PN
