MANILA – Che’Lu Bar and Grill Revellers clinched the top seed at the end of the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup eliminations with a 74-68 win over Go for Gold Scratchers at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

Levi Hernandez pumped five triples off nine shots to finish with 23 points and seven rebounds on Thursday night.

Jessie Collado added 13 markers for the Revellers, which finished the eliminations with a league leading 8-2 win-loss card.

Hernandez primarily came alive for the Revellers in the fourth quarter as he unloaded 10 of his total points, capped off by the dagger pull up jumper from Jeff Viernes with 23.2 seconds left. This gave his side a 73-68 lead.

“We needed this kind of game para preparation sa semifinals,” said Revellers coach Stevenson Tiu. “Kailangan namin ma-push to the limit para makita namin ‘yung weakness namin.”

Matthew Salem top-scored with 16 points, five rebounds and three assists for the Scratchers, but his two missed triples in the last two minutes proved to be costly. They were unable to catch up with the Revellers.

Marinerong Pilipino-TIP Skippers, meanwhile, clinched the third seed in the playoffs round following an 81-72 domination over No. 4-ranked Centro Escolar University Scorpions.

Robbie Manalang drilled five triples to finish with 21 points while Trevis Jackson and Kimlee Medina added 18 and 11 points, respectively.
