ILOILO – In Barangay Pasig, Lambunao town at around 8:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 7, two individuals died after their motorcycle hit a hollow concrete block.
The victims have been identified as 38-year-old Loreto Alaan, a laborer from Barangay Caguisanan, Lambunao, and 46-year-old Leonardo Cabareño Jr., also a laborer from Barangay Jayubo, Lambunao.
Investigations reveal that Alaan, who was driving a Kawasaki CT100 with Cabareño as his back-rider, lost control upon reaching a curved section of the road, leading then to hit a hollow concrete block.
The two men were thrown off their motorcycle and sustained severe injuries.
Responders from the Lambunao Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) swiftly arrived at the scene and transported the victims to the Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital.
Upon arrival, the attending physician declared both victims dead./PN
