BACOLOD City – A man was killed while another was injured after a car hit from behind the tricycle they were riding on the national highway in Bangga Diling, Barangay Alicante, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental.
The 20-year-old Dominic Domin of Barangay Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental sustained injuries and was rushed to the E.B. Magalona Municipal Health Center where attending physician Dr. Edmundo Janeo pronounced him “dead on arrival.”
Domin was on board a Kawasaki Barako tricycle that the 37-year-old Johnny Velasco, also of Barangay Rizal, was driving when the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
Velasco was also brought to the E.B. Magalona Municipal Health Center but later transferred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City for further treatment.
The car was driven by the 51-year-old Telesforo Baydid Jr. of Barangay Vito, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Baydid was now under the custody of the E.B. Magalona police./PN
