BACOLOD City – A 27-year-old man died while his back rider was injured when their motorcycle toppled along the national highway in Sitio Tongugtongugan, Barangay 1 Poblacion, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental.
Police identified the fatality as Meynard Renquijo of the town’s Barangay Po-ok. He died of severe injuries at the Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial Hospital.
Meanwhile, his back rider Elmer Canillada, 39, of Barangay 2 Poblacion, Hinoba-an was recuperating at a hospital in this city.
The accident happened around 6 p.m. on Aug. 15.
According to the police, the victims were heading northward when their vehicles crashed against the railings of the curved road./PN
