BACOLOD City – A road accident led to the death of a sugarcane farmer in Hacienda Nalipay, Barangay 5, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
The 25-year-old James Baroma of Barangay Gatuslao, Candoni, Negros Occidental hit his face on a concrete canal along the national highway when driver Jonel Talondata, 27, lost control of the Honda XRM 125 motorcycle they were riding, a police report showed.
Baroma and Talondata were bound for Hacienda Alicante in Barangay Bungahin, Isabela when the accident happened around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, it added.
They both fell off the motorcycle. Talondata sustained injuries on the different parts of the body.
They were both rushed to the Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Isabela where attending physician Dr. Rene Habaradas pronounced Baroma “dead on arrival.”/PN
