BACOLOD City – A motorist died while his cousin got injured in a vehicular accident at the intersection of Circumferential-Alijis Road in Barangay Alijis here.
Police identified the fatality as Joy Labares, 28, of Isabela, Negros Occidental.
His back rider Paul Riwil Villacapa, 24, was recuperating at a hospital here.
According to the police, it was around 12:50 a.m. on May 8 when the cousins’ motorcycle crashed against a truck driven by Marcel Dalimo-os, 33, of Barangay Pahanocoy.
Police said the victims had a drinking binge prior to the accident.
The suspect, meanwhile, was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 7./PN
