ROXAS City – The City Health Office recorded 15 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) here on Sunday, jacking up to 99 the city’s number of active infections.
Of the total active cases, 93 were local transmissions; two were healthcare workers; three were frontliners; and one was a repatriate from overseas.
The 99 active cases were spread in 25 of the city’s 47 barangays.
Barangays with the most number of active cases were Barangay V (13), Mongpong (12), Inzo (10), Tanque and Banica (eight each), and Milibili (seven).
The city also logged 50 deaths due to COVID-19 as of May 9.
But there’s good news too. Cases that recovered rose to 838 (from the 987 cumulative cases recorded since March last year)./PN
