ROXAS City – The city government vowed to help around 20 families in Barangay Culasi displaced by fire on Tuesday afternoon.

Fourteen houses were razed; 12 of these were totally damaged.

“Masubo panumdumon nga sa tunga sang gina-atubang naton nga krisis dala sang coronavirus, nawad-an pa sila sang balay nga panilungan,” said Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.

He inspected the fire site with the personnel of the City Social Welfare and Development, City Health Office and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

The city government initially released food packs and hygiene kits to the affected families and set-up a soup kitchen.

It also set-up modular tents at the evacuation center.

Dadivas said the fire victims would receive financial help, too./PN
