Already assured of Final Four seats were defending champions San Beda University Red Lions, Lyceum of the Philippines Pirates and Colegio de San Juan de Letran Knights.

Still in the running for a semifinals seat were Mapua University Cardinals, which remained in contention after their 85-81 victory over the Altas that improved their record to 9-8.
