ILOILO City – The No. 1 most wanted person in the municipality of Santa Barbara, Iloilo was finally arrested.
After eight years of hiding, the 58-year-old murder suspect Rolando Simon of Barangay Lupa was detained at the municipal police station.
Around 6 a.m. he was cornered in Barangay Tipacla, Ajuy, Iloilo.
The arrest was a joint operation of the Santa Barbara and Ajuy police stations.
The suspect’s arrest warrant was issued by Judge Rene Hortillo of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 28.
Simon was charged with killing a resident of Barangay Lupa in 2008.
The court refused to grant the suspect bail./PN
