ILOILO City – A sari-sari store owner tagged as a high-value individual was
arrested and around P476,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated in a buy-bust operation Monday night, March 2, in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district.
The 38-year-old alias “Danny Hol,” a resident of the place, was caught at around 9:25 p.m. after he sold suspected shabu to a poseur buyer.
Joint operatives of the Iloilo City Police Office’s City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU), Regional Intelligence Unit 6 (RIU-6), ICPO’s Special Weapons and Tactics team, and Iloilo City Police Station 10 seized five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and one knot-tied transparent plastic bag containing the said illegal substance.
Also recovered were buy-bust money and non-drug-related items.
The suspect is currently under police custody. He will be charged for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). These
offenses, police said, carry a penalty of life imprisonment and a fine ranging from P500,000 to
