ILOILO City – Worried about her safety and that of her family, a 39-year-old resident of Barangay Oñate De Leon, Mandurriao district sought the police’s help.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to Loradel Marquillero, a knife-wielding 54-year-old Alberto Colon, a neighbor, was challenging anyone to a fight.

Marquillero told the police she tried to calm Colon down but to no avail so she left him and returned to her house.

Colon followed her, according to Marquillero, but she was fast enough to close the door.

In her narration to the police of what happened, Marquillero said Colon kept on talking threateningly outside her house for quite some time, then left.

Colon could not be reached for comment as of this writing./PN
