BORACAY – Some 200 delegates attending the 29th Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) International General Assembly (SIGA) 2017 are expected to enjoy LaBoracay.
LaBoracay, a series of beachside parties culminating on May 1, Labor Day, is one of the highlights of the fiesta in the island.
The local government of Malay and the police are putting security measures in place to make sure the participants enjoy their stay in Boracay, according to Island Administrator Rowen Aguirre.
The 29th SSEAYP aims to unite all the youth leaders in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region.
Delegates to the SIGA are expected to stay in the island from April 28 to 30.
“They are coming to Boracay not only to discuss concerns of the ASEAN youth,” Aguirre said on Wednesday. “They will also … enjoy Boracay through their socials, including LaBoracay.” (PNA)
