BACOLOD City — The Philippine Sugar Technologists Association (PHILSUTECH) will hold its annual Seminar/Symposium and Farm Tour on May 28–29, 2026, bringing together stakeholders from across the sugarcane industry for two days of learning and collaboration.
Organized by the association’s Agriculture and Farm Engineering Division, the event is open to planters, industry associations and federations, technologists, and other stakeholders seeking to enhance their knowledge and strengthen industry connections.
The activity is led by PHILSUTECH Vice President and Director Emmanuel Q. Cadungog, along with Director Juan Jose Maria C. Araneta.
The first day of the event will be held at Planta Centro Hotel & Residences, where participants will attend technical presentations and an open panel discussion focused on low-cost, high-output farming practices.
The day will conclude with a recap session followed by a social gathering, giving attendees the opportunity to network and exchange insights in a more relaxed setting.
On the second day, participants will travel to La Castellana for a multi-site farm tour. The tour will showcase various soil types and demonstrate the performance of different sugarcane varieties under field conditions.
The registration fee is P2,600 per participant, covering meals, snacks, and transportation to and from the farm tour sites.
Participation is limited to 40 slots, with registration open until May 5.
