BACOLOD City – A 21-year-old resident of Barangay Alangilan was shot in Barangay Granada yesterday.
Lorry Cantera was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital but declared “dead on arrival.”
He was walking with brother Jimmy around 12:10 a.m. when several persons fired at them, Police Station 5 investigation showed.
Cantera was hit on the left arm, right ear and head.
Three fired cartridges of a .9mm-caliber pistol were recovered from the crime scene.
Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana, Police Station 5 commander, said the victim and the suspects figured in an altercation during a fiesta prior to the shooting.
Gabana said they caught one of the suspects but refused to name them pending a pursuit of their cohorts./PN
