‘Shabu’ worth P3.7M seized in Bacolod bust

BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu worth some P3.7 million was confiscated from a man in Barangay 33, a police report showed.

The 35-year-old Jeffrey Virgel of Barangay 27 was arrested after selling shabu to an undercover officer around 10 p.m. on corner Rosea-Rosario streets in the city, a police report showed.

Recovered from Virgel’s possession were several sachets of suspected shabu, police said.

Virgel was detained and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The Bacolod City Police Office’s City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Superintendent Nasruddin Tayuan staged the operation./PN
