ILOILO City – “Sikad Kontra Droga” was held in the municipality of Tubungan, Iloilo over the weekend.
Police Regional Office (PRO-6) director Chief Superintendent Jose Gentiles spearheaded this bike campaign against illegal drugs.
“I congratulate the municipality of Tubungan. Walang droga dito. We are drumming up public support na hindi na bablik ang droga dito,” he said.
This ride-for-a cause had for its theme, “Ride for a Drug-Free Community.”
The 40-kilometer bike activity started at 5 a.m. from the town proper of Tubungan. The peloton passed through the towns of Igbaras and Guimbal.
Tubungan was the second Iloilo town to hold the activity following Dumangas./PN
