ILOILO City – Policemen raided a barangay councilman’s house in Jelicuon Montinola, Cabatuan, Iloilo yesterday and recovered a .357 revolver with ammunitions and a grenade.
Kagawad Jonathan Baron, however, managed to elude arrest, according to the Cabatuan police.
The raid was carried out around 6:30 a.m. Police secured a search warrant from Judge Loida Diestro-Maputol of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 28.
Though Baron was not in the house at the time of the raid, he would still be charged, police said, because of the recoveries.
The gun was unlicensed, police said.
