BACOLOD City – Stealing money landed a woman from Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental in jail.
The 36-year-old Myleen Sari of Barangay Zone 10, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, reported to the police that her P2,000 was stolen on Oct. 20.
Sari said while she was buying vegetables at the Talisay City public market, the 40-year-old Josefa Candido discreetly took her wallet and fled.
Village watchman Edgardo Tanciano chased Candido and caught her in front of the Talisay City Health Office, a police report showed.
Candido was detained at the Talisay City police station lockup facility./PN
