CEBU City – Sinulog Festival 2018 is reaching out to digital-savvy millennials and the younger Generation Z with the launch of a mobile app.
“Just search and download Sinulog 2018 in Google Play or App Store and install the app in your smartphones,” said Councilor Dave Tumulak, chairman of the Sinulog 2018 Executive Committee. “This is your must-have digital pal who will help you move around the country’s grandest celebration – Cebu’s Sinulog Festival 2018.”
Tumulak said the app was part of their board meeting in December.
He added that the festival executive board has assigned social media teams for “24/7 updates” in the festival app.
“We also reached out to Cebu’s blogging community,” Tumulak said.
The Sinulog 2018 app was launched during the Kalingawan sa Plaza at Plaza Independencia on Friday.
The app will help revelers plot their route in the city during the festival.
The app allows access to basic information about the various Sinulog activities and specifics like the parade contingents, maps of the official route, and party sites, Tumulak said.
Important announcements during Sinulog will also be made with the app.
Revelers can also use the app to vote for their favorite Sinulog Festival Queen 2018 candidate. (PNA/PN)
