BACOLOD City – A man drowned in Sitio Sadlom, Barangay Camindangan, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
The 38-year-old Richard Paborada was a resident of the place.
Paborada took a swim at the river near their house at around 3 p.m. on Easter Sunday, according to the Sipalay City police.
A few minutes later, the victim’s cousin, John Paul Valespin, could no longer find Paborada, prompting the former to jump into the river and look for the victim.
Valespin found Paborada with his head stuck in a hole in a huge rock.
The victim was immediately brought to the Sipalay City Infirmary, where he was declared “dead on arrival”./PN
