ILOILO – A suspect in a series of motorcycle robbery cases in central and northern areas of this province was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in Barangay Bitaog, Santa Barbara town.

The hands of 23-year-old Colt Premarion of Barangay Pasig, Lambunao were bound with packing tape, according to Police Captain Jose Rey Pabalan, Santa Barbara police chief.

Premarion’s body was found around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. Policemen recovered spent bullet shells of .45 pistol and .9mm pistol.

“We suspect not less than two persons killed the victim. Two different firearms were used,” said Pabalan.

Cops also recovered a black motorcycle. It turned out to have been stolen.

The owner was traced: Marc Renulf Moreda, 28, of Lambunao.

Moreda told the police his motorcycle was stolen outside of a computer shop where he parked it in Barangay Poblacion, Lambunao.

“We are coordinating with the police of Lambunao for more on the victim’s background,” said Pabalan.

“We received reports that he was involved in motor-napping incidents in northern Iloilo and he knew how to start a motorcycle even without a key,” said Police Major Rene Obregon of Lambunao./PN
