BACOLOD City – The stepsister of slain suspected drug lord Ramie Poja was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Villa Felicidad, Barangay Estefania Tuesday night.

Police identified her as 31-year-old Kris Poja, a resident of the city’s Sitio Sibucao in Barangay Banago.

According to Police Station 2, their main target was supposed to be Kris’ live-in partner, 29-year-old Ronie Gador.

However, Gador managed to escape during the entrapment.

Police recovered suspected shabu weighing about nine grams valued at around P61,200 .

A follow-up search also yielded two improvised firearms, an M3 submachine gun with three magazines, a 9-mm pistol with three magazines, drug paraphernalia, tear gas, and a brass knuckle.

Kris was detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 2, while police continue their search for Gador.

Back in May of 2018, Ramie Poja was killed after police and operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency stormed his home in Barangay Banago.

Also killed in the said operation was Roberto Lim, another suspected high-value drug target.

The operation against Poja was triggered after he engaged in a gun battle with police, a few hours before his death./PN
