ILOILO – Ten sachets of shabu were seized from a college student in Barangay Balabag, Santa Barbara town.
The 27-year-old Xavier Zabiri was subjected to a police buy-bust operation around 7 p.m. on July 11.
The confiscated shabu was valued at P40,000.
The police units that staged the sting operation were the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) and the Santa Barbara police station.
According to Senior Inspector Francis Fortunado of the IPPO, Zabiri was a newly identified drug suspect.
An undercover police officer initially bought 14 grams of shabu from the suspect for P14,000.
From what the police so far gathered, the shabu was sourced from Negros Occidental.
