GUIMARAS – Supang National High School Lady Generals emerged the champion in the Guimaras Municipal Meet girls volleyball after a 25-23, 25-18, 25-9 win over Buenavista National High School in the finals.
Team captain Precious Lala Tongol, Anne Gabrielle Gabinete, Nina Beatrice Maluto, Rica Mae Cosio, and Charmaine Love Talamera spearheaded the attack.
Setter Lovely Jane Gabayeron also did a great job setting up her teammates while libero Raiza Mae Cordero was on point on defense for the Jiggy Gallo-mentored volleyball team.
Also part of the Lady Generals team were Kieralyn Caballero, Khrystale Jhayde Gagante, Jireh Felomie Cogay, Myrene Zamora, Jhunaise Marie Diamante, and Catherine Jones Hecustan.
For ruling the Provincial Meet, the Lady Generals will now advance to the regional finals.
“We will be preparing hard for the regional meet,” said Gallo. “I am happy with our performance here but there are still things we need to improve at ‘yun ang pagtutuunan namin ng pansin.”/PN
