BACOLOD City – A 36-year-old employee was shot dead by motorcycle-riding men on Saturday in Barangay Candau-ay, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

Rey Anthony Gayo, a supervisor at the Philippine South Construction, sustained a gunshot wound on his back.

Investigation showed that two unidentified men, who were on board a motorcycle, tried to overtake the vehicle of the victim, prompting the latter to give way.

The back-rider suddenly took an unidentified caliber of firearm and shot the victim, police said.

The suspects were wearing black jacket with hood, they added.

Gayo was rushed to Silliman University Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival.

Police is still investigating the incident to identify the suspects and determine the motive of the killing./PN
