BACOLOD City – The suspect in the rape of a 13-year-old girl in Barangay Magsaysay, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental was arrested.
The 33-year-old Marlon Beboso Jr. was caught around 9 a.m. on Nov. 19 in Barangay Zone 3 in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Beboso’s apprehension was staged on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Rogelio Amador of the Regional Trial Court Branch 66 dated May 26, 2017.
Beboso – resident of Barangay Cadiz Viejo, Cadiz City – allegedly sexually molested a 13-year-old student in Barangay Magsaysay. Beboso allegedly raped the victim, who was found at a sugarcane plantation with head injuries.
Beboso has also an arrest warrant for rape with sexual assault in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo province.
The city government of Cadiz earlier offered a P200,000 cash reward to anyone who can provide information that could lead to the arrest of Beboso.
He was now detained in the lockup cell of the Cadiz City police station./PN
