ILOILO City – Suspected sub-leaders of the Odicta and Prevendido drug groups were arrested in Barangay Sambang, Jaro district.
Francisco Pasquin, 50, and wife Mary Anne, 50, were busted by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 6 (CIDG-6) around 10 a.m. yesterday.
Their companion Roland Salting, 30, was also arrested.
The Pasquins and Salting worked for slain suspected drug lord Melvin “Boyet” Odcita Sr. and the still at-large Richard Prevendido, according to Senior Superintendent Marlon Tayaba, CIDG-6 director.
“It took us several weeks to negotiate a transaction with the suspects,” Tayaba told Panay News.
The buy-bust was carried out in front of the Pasquins’ house.
CIDG operatives recovered 10 grams of shabu valued at P30,000, a 12-gauge shotgun and a .9mm pistol.
“Based on our investigation, the suspects got their supply from the Odicta and Prevendido groups,” said Tayaba.
The Pasquins refused to issue a statement. They were detained at the Jaro police station.
Tayaba said the Pasquins owned four houses and several vehicles while Salting previously faced an illegal drugs charge.
