ILOILO City – Two suspected thieves were arrested in an entrapment operation in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao district.
Marck Klein Aguillon and Cyrus Alolongan, both of the same barangay, were suspects in the burglary in Tubungan Elementary School in Lambunao, Iloilo on Thursday last week, police said.
One of the victims, 52-year-old Cecilio Lozañes of Barangay Ayaman, Cabatuan town, told the police he lost his laptop to thieves.
The operation in Mandurriao district around 5:50 p.m. on Friday involved undercover officers buying from the suspects the stolen laptop, said Chief Inspector Jogen Suegay, Lambunao police chief.
Aguillon and Alolongan asked P11,000 in exchange for the laptop, Suegay said.
Police recovered the stolen laptop. They also arrested the suspects and hauled them to the Lambunao police station detention facility./PN
