BACOLOD City – A man was shot to death in Barangay Cabatangan, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Resident Leonardo Bego, 56, sustained gunshot wounds on the head and body, police said.
According to police investigators, residents heard five gunshots prior to the discovery of Bego’s body on his motorcycle around 3:00 p.m. on March 24.
Recovered from the crime scene were two empty shells of a .45-caliber firearm, the police added.
Bego was rushed to the Talisay City Emergency Clinic where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Talisay City police station have yet to identify the suspect and the motive in the shooting./PN
