ILOILO City – A man from Barangay Aguinaldo, La Paz district reported to the police he was threatened.
JV Navallasca, 29, was walking on Block 5, Barangay Sinikway, La Paz around 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 30 when he saw friends and greeted them, a police report showed.
Suddenly, the 39-year-old Brigido Silvela appeared and told Navallasca, “Maano ka (What do you want)?” the report stated.
Police identified Silvela as a barangay tanod (village watchman) in Sinikway.
Navallasca said he ignored Silvela, but the latter threw a beer bottle at him and pulled out an unidentified firearm tucked in his waist.
Police referred the case to the barangay lupon./PN
