BACOLOD City – Task Force Botagoy is continuing its massive campaign against illegally slaughtered animal and meat distribution.
On Monday, around 1.320 kilos of “hot meat” were confiscated at Bata Public Market, Barangay Bata in the city.
Botagoy head Rex Juplo reported to Police Station 3 that vendor Stephen Ignacio was caught in the act of selling “hot meat.”
Another complaint was lodged against Arseno Lutrago, a meat vendor at Eroreco Public Market in Barangay Mandalagan.
The task force recovered around 22.25 kilos of “hot meat” from him.
Juplo said they are doubling their efforts to catch market vendors who sell “hot meat.”
Mayor Evelio Leonardia reconstituted Task Force Botagoy through Executive Order No. 20 to step up the crackdown on illegally slaughtered animal and meat distribution./PN
