BACOLOD City – His sister believes that he committed suicide, police said.

It was around 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday when the 22-year-old Joseph Gustilo was found hanging inside his bedroom in Purok Bliss Site, Barangay Poblacion, Bago City, Negros Occidental, a police report showed.

A blanket knotted to the room’s ceiling was tied around Gustilo’s neck when his sister who the police did not identify found him.

Gustilo, an employee of a telephone company, may have hanged himself due to personal problems, his sister added.

He was rushed to the Bago City Hospital where attending physician Dr. June Jardenico pronounced him “dead on arrival” around 12:30 p.m. on the same day.

The body was then brought to a mortuary in Bago City.

Investigation into the death was still ongoing./PN
