MOI loves this. The social climbers, the so-called “disente”, the self-appointed guardians of morality, padres and madres de cacao, and the “devotees to the cult of the yellow ribbon” are squirming in their yellow Marks and Spencer knickers again.
And it’s not that ants somehow got into their knickers and drawers but the latest news about former Presidential Communications Operations Office assistant secretary Margaux Justiniano Uson a.k.a. Mocha. and just the thought of it are making them extremely uncomfortable. Although some people are saying it’s just probably envy because it’s Mocha and not them. And Moi is not surprised but rather expects this kind of violent reaction about anything remotely related to Mocha Uson.
So what’s the latest about Mocha Uson?
Excerpts from the Oct. 1, 2019 issue of Panay News:
Duterte appoints Mocha Uson as OWWA executive director
Former Palace communication official Ester Margaux “Mocha” Uson got another government post. This time, President Rodrigo Duterte appointed her as Deputy Executive Director of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
The OWWA appointment of the 37-year-old Uson was confirmed in the new list of presidential appointees from Malacañang that was released publicly on Monday.
Upon hearing her new Cabinet position, Uson said that she will now have more time to focus on the needs of overseas Filipino workers, which includes the creation of a department intended for OFWs.
Indeed, the “bitch is back” maybe this time with a vengeance.
The pain of waking up every morning and Rodrigo Duterte is still President, compounded with the thought that Mocha Uson is the new Deputy Executive Director of OWWA, is just too much to bear it’s like rubbing salt to their already bleeding hearts.
The thought that it pisses them made a lot of natives happy, just like the fact Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima is in jail, Meilou Sereno was booted out, Conchita Morales is no longer the Ombudsman, and Leni Robredo is about to become irrelevant.
Happiness comes in simple ways…
Yes, I know what you’re thinking, and before you start gloating and console yourself that it’s not going to happen because Mocha Uson failed to get enough votes as party-list representative at the last local elections, this will further your disappointment and sorrow.
Excerpts from a Sept. 30, 2019 article on GMA News:
One-year appointment ban does not apply to Mocha Uson — Comelec
The one-year ban on individuals who lost in the previous elections from getting government positions does not apply to Mocha Uson, the newly appointed deputy administrator of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration.
Commission on Elections spokesperson James Jimenez said the ban didn’t apply to Uson, whose party-list group AA-Kasosyo failed to get enough votes to secure at least a seat in the House of Representatives.
“She is not covered. Party-list nominees are not candidates per se and so the rule does not apply to them,” Jimenez said.
Election lawyer Emilio Marañon said as much, citing Rule 4 Section 3 of Comelec Resolution 9366 on the conduct of party-list elections.
Comelec Resolution 9366 reads “Nominees holding appointive or elective offices may continue to hold office even after acceptance of their nomination, and the one year prohibition from being hired or rehired in a public office after their party-list organizations fail to secure the needed votes to qualify them for a seat in the House of Representatives, will not apply to them.”
Ahay, so Mocha Uson will indeed sit as the new Deputy Executive Director of OWWA and expect to be titillated once more on social and mainstream media.
And you’re pissed off by this recent development in Le Affair Mocha, lovely then because that’s the idea, and you have to admit it made you scrutinize more closely her credentials.
So who or what is Mocha the person?
Esther Margaux “Mocha” Justiniano Uson, known mononymously as Mocha, is a Filipina singer, dancer, model, blogger, and appointive public official. She is also co-founder of the group Mocha Girls.
Mocha Uson served as a member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) from January 2017 through her appointment as Assistant Secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office in May. She resigned from office on Oct. 3.
Uson was born in Dagupan, Pangasinan. Her father, Oscar Uson, was a judge of the Regional Trial Court who was assassinated in September 2002 in Asingan, Pangasinan. Her mother, Estrelita Uson, was a pediatrician in Dagupan and a breast cancer survivor. Due to her baby’s dark complexion, Uson’s mother was frequently gifted with mocha-flavored cakes and ice-cream which inspired the child’s nickname.
Mocha Uson graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology from the University of Santo Tomas in 1998. She later enrolled at the university’s Faculty of Medicine and Surgery school in 1999, but left during her second year to pursue professional modeling and a song-and-dance career.
Que horror…que barbaridad…Mocha Uson is an educated person, an alumna of the Pontifical University, the University of Santo Tomas, so she is not some two-bit exotic dancer from a strip joint in Cubao.
I’ll take Mocha
anyday over any “disente” hypocrite
“devotee to the cult of the yellow ribbon.” So there. (brotherlouie16@gmail.com/PN)
