ILOILO City — Thousands of employment opportunities will be made available to fresh graduates and jobseekers in Western Visayas.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 6 intensifies its campaign for participation in the “Trabaho Agad Job Fair” on June 12, highlighting decent employment as a key component of freedom during the country’s 128th Independence Day celebration.
The one-day job fair will be held at Robinsons Place Iloilo on Ledesma Street, City Proper where thousands of vacancies from various industries are expected to be offered to applicants seeking immediate employment.
“Aspiring jobseekers are encouraged to register for the upcoming Job Fair and take the next step toward a brighter future. This celebration reminds us that true freedom includes having access to decent and meaningful employment opportunities for every Filipino,” a statement from DOLE-6 read.
To streamline the application process, DOLE-6 encouraged applicants to pre-register through its online portal before the June 12 event.
After completing the registration process, applicants are advised to save a screenshot of their registration number, which will serve as their identification and reference number upon entry to the job fair venue.
“This will serve as your identification card/reference number for entry to the job fair area, so make sure to save it and have it ready on the day of the event,” according to DOLE-6.
The labor agency also reminded jobseekers to arrive early, dress professionally, and bring their credentials and résumés to improve their chances of securing employment.
Among the local vacancies available are positions for customer service representatives, bookkeepers, senior audit associates, food handlers, Human Resource assistants, civil engineers, certified public accountants, maintenance technicians, delivery drivers, sales associates, merchandisers, machine operators, production helpers, service crew members, accounting staff, social media managers, purchasing staff, property officers, dining staff, kitchen staff, leasing assistants and supervisors, and financial consultants, among others.
The annual Independence Day job fair forms part of the government’s continuing efforts to provide employment opportunities and help connect jobseekers with prospective employers across Western Visayas./PN
