BACOLOD City – At least 250 passengers were stranded at the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corporation port yesterday morning.

The Philippine Coast Guard suspended sea travel due to weather disturbance brought about by typhoon “Tisoy.”

Executive Assistant Jomarie Vargas, cluster head of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, said the stranded passengers were housed in Education and Training Center School in this city while being served with relief goods by the local government unit.

Several areas in northern Negros Occidental remain to be under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 2 as of 5 p.m. yesterday.
